Last updated: May 25, 2022

Do you struggle with staff members creating written proposals in Google Docs and they are always slightly different? Google Docs does not have a way to set default style rules across the Google Workspace organisation, so everyone can make up their own rules!

In this video, I’ll take you through how to set up a master style document that contains all your default styles, and then show you how each user can use this to set their own defaults. We’ll also cover how to update existing documents and templates!

1:24 Set up your basic document
3:51 Applying the default style to your user account
5:02 Updating an existing document with the new styles
7:25 Set up the master styles document as a template
8:10 Edit an existing template to update its styles

Don’t forget to watch our other videos about creating templates in Google Drive!
